The Clean Air Primer, created by Delphi International brings
home the causes and consequences of air pollution and what we
can do about it.
Exciting, visually rich and a compelling interactive experience,
the Clean Air Primer:
> Draws people into the heart of important air quality topics
> Explores air pollution science, impacts and solutions
> Showcases original geo-spatial movies, videos, photos, graphics
and animations, to tell the clean air story
Created by Delphi International in an interactive, web-ready
format, the Clean Air Primer guides people into individual sections
where they select what interests them, focus on particular problems,
and discover how each contributes to the larger picture.
Goals:
- To provide stimulating, knowledgeable, and in-depth educational
materials which contribute to the understanding of air quality
resources, issues and standards
- To increase public knowledge of the link between air quality,
pollution sources and community responsibility
- To increase awareness of the vital connections between our health
and the quality of the air we breathe
- To generate public awareness and maximize support of programs
and policies to monitor and improve environmental quality
The Clean Air Primer has great scope and depth. Delphi International
has donated thousands of hours of work and corporate resources
required to create the media; prepare original graphics, video
and multimedia presentations; to create complex, large-scale geographic
composites merging multiple resolution data sources, and to create
unique geo-spatial 3D interactive databases; to create the interface
design architecture; and to incorporate all work into the interface
design.
The Clean Air Primer is about increasing public awareness of
the importance of clean air and improving national access to information
on clean air issues. We hope to make the San Francisco Bay Area
a better place to live and breathe. The Clean Air Primer is the
result of work contributed by many people and organizations. Development
of the materials was given support by the following agencies:

California Air Resources Board
Environmental Protection Agency
The Clean Air Primer can be customized to display any Air Districts’
name and logo. At a surprisingly low cost it can be customized
to adapt to specific air districts’ public information outreach
